Living in Mexico and Learning to Speak Spanish: Tales & How-to Tips

The purpose of this blog is to provide information about Mexico -- mostly through my husband's and my day-to-day experiences of living in Mexico, specifically in San Juan Cosala, Jalisco, by Lake Chapala near Ajijic. I write for people who might live or retire in Mexico, for expats or travelers currently in Mexico, and for Mexicans. I write about how to learn to speak Spanish, why it's important, and how to get started. For more, visit my website www.mexico-with-heart.com as well! -- Rosana Hart

Wonderful website for photos of Mexico!

I just stumbled upon the online photography of Mark Callanan and I immediately had to blog about it.

Here's his main page for 800+ stunning photos of Mexico.

And he has over twice as many photos on the Puerto Vallarta area.

That's how I came across his art... I'm working on some more webpages for my site about Vallarta. I'll blog when they are up. One of the sites I went to had his work on it, with a link to his site.

One of my greatest pleasures in life is the beauty of our world. Looking through his photos filled my heart!

My husband went to the link and got frustrated by the logo the photographer put on his pictures. It's hard nowadays to keep others from just taking your pictures, I guess.

Dweller, good luck in your job search. Do post here how it comes out!

thanks for the high praise and the link. I only wish there were more hours in the day to add to the online collection, 'cos i have a lot more imagery waiting in the wings. The watermark on the images is a necessary evil for obvious but regretable reasons.

    saludos,

Mark, thanks for your comment! Here is a gift of an hour: {ONE HOUR} for more photos up!

When I put up a website about my father's science fiction, www.cordwainer-smith.com, I used some family photos. When they started turning up all over the internet, with only now and then a person asking permission, I saw how little regard people have for copyright.

I tried various scripts which disable right-clicks and so on, but never found anything which really stopped people. In that case, I didn't put watermarks on them, but I surely understand your doing so.
