Living in Mexico and Learning to Speak Spanish: Tales & How-to Tips

The purpose of this blog is to provide information about Mexico -- mostly through my husband's and my day-to-day experiences of living in Mexico, specifically in San Juan Cosala, Jalisco, by Lake Chapala near Ajijic. I write for people who might live or retire in Mexico, for expats or travelers currently in Mexico, and for Mexicans. I write about how to learn to speak Spanish, why it's important, and how to get started. For more, visit my website www.mexico-with-heart.com as well! -- Rosana Hart

The Mexican Presidential Election

Kelly and I have been following the news of the Mexican presidential election pretty closely. Here's an article that fills in a lot of information I wasn't familiar with:

and here's a blog in English that I have bookmarked:

I received one email asking my opinion. I'm an observer on this one.

Thanks Rosana, I read the two links and found some good analyses. Also learned about the TRIFE, the judicial system that can review the whole process. It has until 1st week of September to come down with a decision. So we don't know what the future holds yet :)

    Another observer here.
