Charlie, I never know with questions like this how thoroughly people have used google. If I were in your shoes, I would search to find the realtors who list rentals.

Also join chapala.com and ask there.

Best wishes!

HELP:
We are coming to Lake Chapala in June with our 10 year old Golden Retriever. We had been not been able to secure a short term rental. ANY help would be greatly appreciated.

cdocwilliams@aol.com

Hi,

We travel frequently to Mexico and Lake Chapala and are in need to find hotels where we can take our dog with us. Leaving her in the car is not an option. So far we always smuggled her in at night but it doen't feel comfortable as she is not a pocket dog but a Rottweiler. She has excellent behavior (good citizen certificate, temperament tested with best grade)but she getting on in age. We usually stay 4-5 weeks at one place but for the trip itself we need accomodations from Laredo, TX via Monterrey or Zacatecas. Can you advise? We would appreciate. Thank you, Witha and Heidi
