I'm sorry we've moved back to the States and won't be able to meet you ourselves! It's easy to meet people in San Juan Cosala. Stroll on the malecon. Get your fresh produce on Tuesday mornings from Carlos and Blanco at the tianguis, they are near the far eastern end. (We usually saw other expats more in midmorning and later than quite early). And best of all, eat at Viva Mexico, a few blocks west of the plaza on Porfirio Diaz and tell the English-speaking owner Agustin hello from Rosana and Kelly, and tell him and Carlos and Blanca that we send our greetings and that we are fine.

Geez, that made me a bit homesick!

San Miguel de Allende it is a gay friendly city.
No one really cares. My partner and I of 30+ years built a place near San Miguel and live a quiet life no hassles. If you are a gay couple who love to entertain San Miguel is perfect people love to party and most of the straight couples have gay friends relatives or both.
They love to discuss the local new "Boys" at bridge, did I mention we have been together 30+ years and they call us Boys.
Gotta love that , right?
San Miguel is full of Gay and Lesbian couples some own Bed and Breakfasts , some own Galleries. Some are there just to partake of the good life.
So come to San Miguel and live a safe sane existence.
