Adapter Kit Mexico, by Ken Luboff
The full title of this book is Adapter Kit Mexico: A Traveler's
Tools for Living Like a Local, and Ken Luboff has written a
personable and highly readable introduction to life in Mexico. It's
in the same genre as Choose Mexico
and Live Better South of the Border
-- while I recommend that you read one of these books if you are
thinking of living in Mexico, they all cover very similar topics.
I liked this book as a good overview. A longtime expat in Mexico
lent it to me, saying that he agreed with pretty much everything
in the book. That's high praise! I learned several things from this
book that I hadn't picked up from the others.
I'm writing this in 2005, and the most recent edition is a 2002
one that seems to be a very slight revision of Luboff's 1999 Living
Well in Mexico, which was brought out by a different publisher.
So it's a little out of date in some details.
