Nov. 10, 2007 — My husband Kelly walked up one of the arroyos that goes above San Juan Cosala, and saw how the rockslide had scoured out the arroyo. We had walked there several times before the waterspout on September 12, and he said that the place was essentially unrecognizable. Here you can see the scouring effect:
And here is one where you can just make out a house just below where the boulders, trees, debris, and water poured down. It had some damage.
